These Mid-Century Atomic Fiberglass and Brass Lamps are in Great Vintage Condition and are just adorable! They are perfect for nightstands, as office lamps on a desk or bookshelf, or for soft lighting in an entryway or fireplace mantle. They feature fiberglass shades with original cording as well as awesome bases with fiberglass panels tucked behind atomic brass cages. These little cuties are rare and hard to find, especially as a matching pair in great condition.
The cord, the wiring and the sockets are all in Great Vintage Condition, fully functional and also very secure - the light bulb sockets do NOT wobble in the cradle where they are attached to the lamp base (which seems to be the problem with half of the vintage lamps out there, right?)
The fiberglass shades are also in Great Vintage Condition and still have the original cording which is still fully intact - no breaks, cracks or damage to the cording or the fiberglass panels.
The body of the lamps are in Very Good Vintage Condition. You will notice that the brass cage has a nice patina to it and all of the brass is fully intact (I'm sure the brass would also clean up nicely if you prefer, but we prefer to leave it with the patina and we'll leave that up to you :) The fiberglass panels that are rolled behind the brass cage are also in Great Vintage Condition - no chips, cracks or damage. The bottom of the base is made of black plastic and and lined with the original felt. If you look very closely you will find only a couple of small scratches and scuffs which are consistent with age (as shown in photos). The scratches do not show any discoloration and therefor are hardly noticeable.
